Nucleus enables you to sync your Vigiles monitoring data into the Nucleus console using an automated connector. The connector uses the APIs provided by Vigiles to seamlessly sync data into various Nucleus projects for use in analysis, triage, automation, and reporting.

Connector Setup

Connector Setup Checklist

Follow the steps in this checklist to successfully set up this connector:

  1. API Access
    Collect the required information from your Vigiles instance. You will need a Dashboard Key and your Client Email and Client Key.

  2. Connector Configuration
    Create and configure the connector in your Nucleus project.

  3. Vulnerability Scan Data Ingestion
    Create one or more vulnerability scan ingest rules to ingest vulnerabilities and compliance findings from Vigiles.

1. API Access

  1. Navigate to your Vigiles console.
  2. Generate a Dashboard Key, etc...

2. Connector Configuration

  1. Open Nucleus and go to Project Administration > Connector Setup.
  2. Under the Scanners section, click the Vigiles icon.
  3. In the Setup Vigiles Connector popup, enter the following information:

Name(Optional) enter a name for your connector. If left blank, this will default to Vigiles.
Description(Optional) Enter a description for your connector.
Vigiles Instance URLEnter the URL to your Vigiles console.
Dashboard KeyEnter the Dashboard key you created in API Access.
Client EmailEnter the Client Email for your account.
Client KeyEnter the Client Key for your account.
  1. Click Verify Credentials and wait for the success message.
  2. Click Save & Finish.

3. Vulnerability Scan Data Ingestion

  1. Go to Data Ingest > Import via Connector.
  2. Select the Vigiles connector you just created.
  3. Select the method of import: All, Folder, or Project.
  4. If you selected to import by Folder or Project, click Next and select either the folders or projects you would like to import.
  5. Select a schedule to import scans into the project.
  6. Click Save & Finish.
